Since 1970, Tom’s of Maine has been creating natural oral care products to help people improve and maintain their oral health—and they don't sacrifice effectiveness using pure, natural ingredients. That's why, in 1995, their original formula with fluoride was deemed safe and effective by the American Dental Association (ADA), becoming the first natural toothpaste to bear the ADA's Seal of Acceptance. What is Natural Care? At Tom’s of Maine, Natural Care is a way of life that guides what we make and all that we do. We think of Natural Care as many things—caring for nature, for our customers, and for our communities. We do this by creating safe, effective natural products free of dyes, sweeteners, and preservatives; by harvesting, processing, and packaging with respect for our natural resources; by not testing on animals or using animal ingredients; and by donating 10% of our profits and 5% of our employees' paid time to charitable organizations. We make our Natural Care products out of respect for you, your environment, and your community.
